A tribute to the ladies
1 - “A Good Start” - Maria Taylor. I can’t decide if her voice is like a warm blanket on a cold, winter day or like a gentle breeze on a summer day. Either way, it’s a good thing.
2 - “Rehab” - Amy Winehouse. Is it any surprise she’s a drunk with a name like Winehouse?
3 - “Fallen Snow” - Au Revoir Simone. I’m sick of our falling snow here in Indy.
4 - “Living in America” - The Sounds. Best looking woman in modern rock?
5 - “Prescilla” - Bat for Lashes. Loovely, as the Irish would say. Not that she’s Irish, I’m just saying.
6 - “If You Go Away” - Emiliana Torrini. We need some Icelandic representation.
7 - “To the Country” - Laura Viers. Brand, spanking new. I don’t even have an opinion yet.
8 - “She Sells Sanctuary” - The Distants. Covering one of my all-time favs. Quite faithfully.
